Welcome to Queenborough Town Council, I’m Councillor Ashley Shiel. I have lived in our beautiful community since I was a young boy. I’m extremely proud of the changes and regeneration that our community has undergone and being able to influence change and support our community is what I strive to achieve.
I live in Rushenden. I’m very involved with the community and my work never stops. I’m an Authorised Lay Minister at Holy Trinity Queenborough and a church warden. I’m always happy to help and look forward to the future for our community.
In July 2021 Councillor Shiel was elected as Mayor of Queenborough for 2021/22, 2022/2023 and 2023/2024.
Councillor Shiel served as Deputy Mayor of Queenborough for two years during 2019/2020 and 2020/2021

Chairman of the Christmas Lights Working Party Committee 2021/2022/2023/2024/2025, and was Chairman of the Planning Committee in 2021/2022/2023
