The Mayor of Queenborough, Councillors and the Clerk presented an engraved vase and flowers to the Hollinshead family for their 27 dedicated years of service to our community, these were accepted by Jan Hollinshead.

Elizabeth Montgomery the Sub- Postmistress, presented with flowers thanking her for her commitment and hard work in keeping the Post Office open at Main Road during unprecedented times.

Memories of bygone days and the strong community of Queenborough and Rushenden were shared during the visit.

Jan shared stories of her late husband, Past Sub-Postmaster Chas and his unique relationship with residents.

Talking to residents using the Post Office for the last time, the Post Office will be surely missed in the Town.
