Queenborough Town Council are pleased to advise that we have been successful in being awarded funding from the Kent County Council’s Winter Support Grant.
The grant of £1,500 will be used to continue supporting residents requiring help from the Queenborough Town Council Emergency Food bank
Some residents in the Queenborough and Rushenden community are struggling through the cost of living crisis, rising food costs has seen the lower income households food purchases decrease, in turn effecting peoples quality of diet, energy consumption and food security. Some unable to purchase household essential items like basic cleaning supplies and basic personnel care, because they do not have the money to do so and they need the Town Council’s help.
The Food bank continues to operate since Covid-19 in supporting families, disabled, vulnerable persons and elderly in the community and this funding will enable us to continue that support.
